Dear You,

You’re back again, taking over each inch of my body.

You want to stay and have a play.

You do as you please and then briefly leave.

With each moment you’re here, I lose a part of me.

I’m lonely.

I want to give in to you,

to stop hoping it will end

But how? You’re so strong.

You’re worse than anything I know.

I’m not me, I’m intertwined with you.

I must hold on as I’m important.

You will not win, I will not let you,

I’ll ground myself with love,

Both from others but more importantly myself.

Bad days are going to happen,

But the sun will shine once again.
